THE MUSES supports and promotes the California Science Center Foundation and its education programs for youth.

Supported Programs

Hands-On Science Camp

THE MUSES funds scholarships which provide pre-K through 8th grade children from families with demonstrated financial need the opportunity to participate in the California Science Center’s weeklong summer day camps.

Community Youth Programs

Community Youth Programs offer free science learning opportunities for 6th - 8th grade Young Curators and paid internships for 10th - 12th grade Community Teens. THE MUSES' financial investment and volunteer participation during field trips, interview workshops and family celebrations helps strengthen the science literacy of local youth who benefit greatly from these experiences.

Woman of the Year Fundraiser

The annual Woman of the Year luncheon is the major fundraiser that allows THE MUSES to support youth education programs at the California Science Center. Each year this event honors a woman or women who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and business. Join us on April 25, 2024, as we celebrate the 2024 MUSES Woman of the Year Dr. Laurie Leshin, Director of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
