Distinguished youth sports advocate and civic leader, Renata Simril, President & CEO of the LA84 Foundation, will be honored as the 2025 Woman of the Year by THE MUSES of the California Science Center Foundation. The annual luncheon, which will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Jonathan Town Club in Los Angeles, honors women who are leaders and trailblazers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), business, or academia.

The California Science Center unveiled today three site-specific murals commissioned to complement the upcoming GAME ON! Science, Sport & Play, a dynamic new exhibition developed with the generous support and active collaboration of the Walter Family Foundation, Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, and LA84 Foundation, opening May 15, 2025.

The Bias Inside Us is a traveling exhibition that unpacks and demystifies the concept of bias through compelling images, hands-on interactives and powerful testimonials and videos. The exhibition features six sections: Introduction, The Science of Bias, Bias in Real Life, Serious Consequences—Bias is All Around Us, #RetrainYourBrain and Personal Reflection.

“Superhuman Body 3D” Explores the Inner Workings of the Human Body and hopes to inspire the next generation of bioengineers and medical scientists when it opens at the California Science Center IMAX Theater.

The California Science Center will premiere GAME ON! Science, Sports & Play on May 15, 2025 - a uniquely Los Angeles exhibition that will inspire people of all ages, backgrounds, genders and abilities through an array of exciting and immersive activities.

The California Science Center’s summer 2025 Hands-On Science Camp will be held June 16 through August 8, offering Pre-K through 8th grade students over 25 unique classes in weeklong day camps on half or full-day schedules, with something to appeal to each camper’s specific interests. Enrollment opens February 26 at 11 a.m.

The Blue Angels have been enthralling people across the country and around the globe for more than 75 years. IMAX Entertainment proudly presents a thrilling new abridged version of the documentary “The Blue Angels” taking audiences soaring with the Navy’s elite Flight Demonstration Squadron as never before. Now open in IMAX at the California Science Center IMAX Theater, the Filmed For IMAX® immersive footage puts viewers directly into the cockpit for a firsthand view of the Blue Angels’ precision flying, while the aerial shots deliver a spectacular showcase of the breathtaking maneuvers that have made them the world’s premier jet team.

Launched in June 2024, the Work in Progress Gallery offers a sneak peek at new exhibits and space artifacts planned for the future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center at the California Science Center. Large colorful renderings show how space artifacts in the Work in Progress Gallery will look when placed in their new locations alongside hands-on exhibits.

The California Science Center presents Wildlife in Focus, a beautiful photographic exhibit featuring 12 portraits of some of the animals who have called the California Science Center their home. Captured by photographer Joel Sartore for his Photo Ark project, dedicated to documenting every animal species before they disappear. Wildlife in Focus opens November 16, 2024.

Explore the engineering marvels and artistry of one of history’s greatest minds and inventors when “LEONARDO DA VINCI: Inventor. Artist. Dreamer.” opens at the California Science Center on March 2, 2024. Through models of da Vinci’s innovations, hands-on experiences and reproductions of his notes and artwork, including the Last Supper, visitors will experience da Vinci’s endless curiosity, and his use of both art and science throughout his work.
