The California Science Center is Temporarily Closed

In consultation with the State of California, the California Science Center will be closed temporarily effective Monday, March 16. This decision was made to support the efforts of state and local health authorities to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. The closure will include all California Science Center exhibitions, IMAX films, events and programs.

The Art of the Brick

The Art of the Brick, a captivating exhibition featuring more than 100 works of art created from over one million LEGO bricks by contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya, opened February 28, 2020 at the California Science Center, but is temporarily closed. It comprises the world’s largest display of LEGO art.
