The California Science Center offers an unconditional welcome to all our guests and sets the highest level of individual service and institutional integrity. The California Science Center is designed to be a self-guided experience, all special arrangements will follow this model.
For Visitors Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired
Visual Description Tour
We are able to provide a visual description guided tour for guests with visual impairments. We highly encourage 10 days advance notice.
Visitor Guides in Braille
Visitor guides can be checked out at the Information Desk for use during your visit.
We welcome guests with disabilities who choose to bring their trained service animals into the Science Center.
Accessible Experience by Special Arrangement
We are able to arrange an accessible experience for guests with special needs, including visual and hearing impairments and physical limitations. For more information call (213) 744-2019. We highly encourage 10 days advance notice.
For Visitors Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Free closed captioning and assistive listening devices in English are available for all current IMAX films. Please alert a member of our Box Office or IMAX Theater team that you will require a closed caption or listening device so that they can assist you.
For Special Exhibits with Audio Guides, transcripts are available at the entrance to the exhibit upon request.
Guests are encouraged to call and make advanced reservations at least 10 days prior to their visit.
For Visitors with Mobility Impairments
Accessible parking spaces are available on levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Science Center parking lot. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Standard wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis for use on Science Center grounds. Please stop by the Information Desk for specific details.
All California Science Center restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
