The last flight-qualified external tank in existence, ET-94, was donated to the Science Center by NASA and will be traveling from NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana to Los Angeles via barge through the Panama Canal. The journey, which should take from six to eight weeks, should take place sometime in late 2015 or early 2016 depending on weather conditions and the progress of cosmetic restorations on the tank.
